libcinnamon-menu-3-0-dbg software package provides Cinnamon implementation of the freedesktop menu specification, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcinnamon-menu-3-0-dbg
libcinnamon-menu-3-0-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcinnamon-menu-3-0-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcinnamon-menu-3-0-dbg *
